We did it!
Thanks to the incredible support of neighbors, local businesses and especially Rep. John Lawn — who has long been a friend and champion of the historic park in Nonantum — Friends of Coletti-Magni Park reached a fundraising goal of more than $225,000!
Working with the City of Newton’s Parks, Recreation and Culture Department, funds will begin to be used next spring to enhance the storied memorial space. More details will be co-created and shared with residents in the coming months.
And now that our goal is met, we’re no longer in need of donations. Instead, we have the joy of investing our funds back into our beloved bit of the village for all to enjoy :)
If you’ve got charity burning a hole in your pocket, however, we’d love to suggest three of our favorite local partners who do great work right here in the Lake. From scholarships to Nonantum kiddos to the iconic annual summer Festa and winter Christmas Tree Lighting, their hearts (like ours) are here in the ‘hood.
